November 2019: Rotation student Josh Nielsen and PREP student Pedro Martinez Barbosa presented their work at the BBSP poster session. Josh deep sequenced several obscure flaviviruses, which is a first step towards building tools for molecular virology studies. Pedro is studying rubella virus and showed that it is inhibited by IFN-b and IFN-L, enabling future studies of the immune mechanisms that control congenital infections.
November 2019: Happy 4th birthday Lazear Lab! Looking forward to great things in the year ahead!
August 2019: Congratulations to MD/PhD student Cesar Lopez who received an F31 to support his work on the role of cross-reactive antibody responses in Zika virus disease! NIAID F31 AI143237
