May 2023: Spring party to celebrate so many accomplishments by our lab members (current and alumni), including (but not limited to): graduating with a BS in Biology (Nigel), joining our lab as a new PhD student (Mikhala), passing qualifying exam and advancing to PhD candidacy (Margaret), tenure (Helen), moving on to a new job (Brittany), and matching for residency/fellowship (Cesar). So proud of all of you!

April 2023: It was great to see Nigel present his work at the UNC Celebration of Undergraduate Research! Nigel has worked with Drake to adapt our models for acute and recurrent HSV-1 skin disease to HSV-2. We’re glad to have Nigel continue on in our lab as a technician!

April 2023: Congratulations to Margaret for passing her qualifying exam and advancing to PhD candidacy! Look out for her cool work about IFN-L mediated immunity at the maternal-fetal interface!

March 2023: Helen promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure! So grateful to the current and former lab members who made this possible, and to colleagues near and far for all their support. Proud of what we’ve accomplished so far, and excited for great science yet to come!
